Allied Gardens - Del Cerro - San Carlos
Allied Gardens, Del Cerro (Spanish for “of the Hill”) and San Carlos neighborhoods are in the eastern Navajo area of San Diego just north of San Diego State University.
Allied Gardens was developed by Louis L. Kelton and Walter Bollenbacher in 1955. The name came from their original business which was the Allied Contractors hence Allied Gardens.
Del Cerro (Spanish for “of the Hill”) is a hilly residential neighborhood with many lovely view homes.
San Carlos is geographically defined by its proximity to the Mission Trails Regional Park and the man made reservoir Lake Murray.
